Mindcastle

Mindcastle is the open-source storage engine underpinning our Smart Sensor OS. Originally developed over five years during Jacob’s tenure at Bromium, where it has anecdotally launched more VMs than Amazon AWS, and since open sourced, the most recent version adds encryption and Merkle-tree integrity protection, and support for Cloud-hosted (e.g., Amazon S3 or Google Storage) blob storage backends. At Vertigo.ai, we use Mindcastle as a performant, reliable, and scalable storage backend for our fleet of smart cameras, and for versioning our huge machine learning datasets to allow us to effortlessly spawn training jobs in the Cloud.
